Gnocchi Three Ways
Cooking for Ages 16+
Thursday, March 27 | 5:30-8:00pm

Join Chef Tiffiny for an evening of scratch gnocchi! Gnocchi is a tender, pillow shaped pasta that is easy to make at home without any special equipment! In this class, you’ll prepare three different kinds of gnocchi: classic potato gnocchi, ricotta gnudi gnocchi, and semolina gnocchi!  Each will be paired with its own sauce.  Sit down to enjoy all three with a simple salad and dessert! Class is for ages 16+

All About Mushrooms
Cooking Class for Ages 16+
Wednesday, March 26 | 5:30-7:30pm

Spring is on the way, and so are amazing mushrooms!  Join Chef Kara Fairfield for a tour of the many flavors of mushrooms! Work with a variety of fresh and dried mushrooms to create Wild Mushroom Risotto, Creamy Mushroom Soup, and a Chilled Mushroom and Pasta Salad!  Class is for age 16+

Join Chef JoEllen for a journey to Palestine to feast on the hearty and unique flavors of this enduring culture. You’ll make a simple, but delicious Bulgur Pilaf, Lamb Fatayer tarts, perfect as appetizers or a light dinner, alongside a roasted cauliflower and green olive salad and a unique Phyllo pocket cheese dessert. Class is for ages 16+ You will work in pairs.

Chocolate Truffles, Caramels, and Bark for Ages 16+

Join Chef Rebecca Bryant in learning the secrets to working with Chocolate! Prepare scratch caramels dipped in chocolate, orange liqueur truffles, and fruit & nut chocolate bark! You’ll take home knowledge and tasty treats to share! Class is for students ages 16+ You will be paired with another student.

Beginner Stained Glass
Monday, 6:00 pm
March 24 – May 12 | Ages 16-99+

[***This class is construction based. Hand strength & dexterity is required.***]

Explore the tools, strategies, and techniques used to cut and grind glass into your own custom designs. Foil, solder, and patina to finish your piece. This class is set up as a beginner class or a refresher class.  No glass working experience is needed.

No makeup classes will be made available in the case of illness or inclement weather

Explore color through pastels at a beginner and intermediate level. Use traditional pastels as you learn how to mix colors and layering processes. Create still lifes and landscapes using a photo reference. Expand your skills through demonstrations and personal instruction.

  • Pastel-toned paper with colors (pad or individual sheets)
  • Pastel boards or sanded pastel paper (your choice of drawing surface)
  • Pastels: Sennelier, Nu Pastels, Rembrandt or Great American
  • For paper sheets you will need masking tape or bull clamps, and a drawing board that is larger than your paper. 
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Stiff bristle brush
  • Soft vine charcoal

Optional:

  • Pastel pencils
  • Cookie tray
  • Dish towel or rags
  • Wet wipes

Beginner Acrylics

Discover the basics of acrylic painting including how to get started, use of materials, color theory, and rendering. Throughout the course, you will be working on painting a still life, a landscape, and an animal. You will build confidence in your painting skills, have fun expressing yourself with acrylics, and gain inspiration to continue using the medium in your life.
